Fraser
Primary School Blogging Guidelines
We
are excited to use a blog this year to share our amazing learning with other
classes within the school and with your parents, carers and grandparents.
However, it is an expectation that all students abide by these guidelines when
using our blog. In the Posting Comments Guidelines, the questions below the
statements are to help you decided what is appropriate and not appropriate to
post. Any posts that do not meet the guidelines will be deleted and addressed
with the individual student.
Safety Guidelines
Blogging is a lot of fun, however internet safety is a critical
component of maintaining a success blog. It is important that all uses of the
blog familiarise themselves with these guidelines and adhere to them at all
times.
ü Students’ initials, photos, work, video and school name MAY be
included on the blog.
ü Students’ surnames, address, email address, phone number,
specific plans, date of birth and other personal information WILL NOT be
included on the blog.
ü Posts written by the students will be checked by the teacher
before they are published on the blog.
ü All comments must be approved by a teacher before they are
included on the blog.
ü Students will be encouraged the comment on other class/student
blogs with teacher/parents supervision.
ü All students must have parental permission to comment or post on
the class blog/other blogs and have their photo, videos and work appear on the
blog
ü Parents who leave comments are asked to use their first name only so as to not identify their
child. E.g. Please identify yourself in comments as “Catherine – JCD’s mum”.
ü All comments must be polite, respectful and courteous.
ü Others’ work, images or music videos will not be used without
permission and attribution.
ü Parents are asked to proofread comments that students write on
blogs at home.
