Year 6 students demonstrated leadership this week by leading a range of activities for other students to participate in during Japanese Fun Day. There were outside games like chopstick races, bamboo pole racing and tama nage (target throw) and inside games such as Hajiki (flat marbles) and Daruma Otoshi (hit the daruma).
All year 5 and 6 students had the chance to make their own sumo magnet, practise their calligraphy as well as make and eat a rice ball or onigiri.
Looks like you guys had great fun! I think of you all often and wonder what you are up to. ❤️ Mrs Layton
