As part of our project work on Natural Disasters, students have been challenged to construct a home that can withstand a disaster.
Students could choose from:
- earthquakes
- tsunamis
- floods
The house must protect an item such as a paper flower, small cup of rice or a raw egg. Once completed, these houses will be undergoing some rigorous testing from the teachers to see if they can survive against the chosen disaster!
I had heaps of fun making my house. My partner and I had a lot of good techniques such as making stabilisers for the side. Our house withstood the hurricane which is awesome.
